My name is Carlo Alberto Miele. I am a graphic designer, painter, carpenter, and farmer with a lifelong passion for design and geometry. For many years, I worked in Milan’s fashion and design world, where I developed a strong sense of proportion, structure, and visual harmony.
From this practical background, I began experimenting with the Golden Ratio (φ) through hands-on constructions in paper and packaging design. Out of this process emerged a family of eight original polyhedra, each built entirely from golden triangles.
Among them, the polyhedron I call Anna holds a special place: it was the first I discovered, almost by accident, by folding a grid of golden triangles used for industrial packaging. For me, Anna felt as natural as a cube or a pyramid — and yet it revealed itself as something new.
What started as a simple act of folding cardboard has grown into a deeper exploration: reconstructing Anna step by step in Wolfram Mathematica, learning through mistakes, and connecting design with mathematics.
This site is dedicated to sharing my journey — from the accidental discovery of Anna, to its digital reconstruction, and to the broader implications of Golden Geometry.
For now, I am presenting only Anna DNA, but soon each of the eight solids will have its own page, to be enriched gradually with models, images, and reflections.
Thank you for visiting, and welcome to this adventure in the geometry of the Golden Ratio.
